These challenges are common for people who are neurodivergent or have medical conditions that often come with being neurodivergent. I know how you feel because I’m neurodivergent, and that's how I often feel. And that's why I started Be Your Best Coaching.
About Mira K. Cohen, LMSW
When I was in middle school, high school, and college, there was very little evidence-based support for neurodivergent people like me. I started with Be Your Best Butterfly Coaching groups to address the unique mental health, relationship, academic, and independent living challenges experienced by many tweens and teens with Turner Syndrome. And I’ve expanded Be Your Best Coaching to include services for neurodivergent people of all ages.
The BYB Approach
I take a holistic and personalized approach that helps clients learn a wide variety of skills so they can take control of their lives.
I help clients tackle anxiety and executive functioning challenges simultaneously because according to research, it is more effective than treating them separately. BYB Coaching is strengths-based and incorporates several evidence-based interventions and approaches.

My Experiences
Licensed Masters Social Worker, State of Connecticut
Masters of Social Work, UConn School of Social Work
Certified yoga and mindfulness instructor through Breathe for Change, a program that teaches educators how to incorporate mindfulness and yoga in the classroom.
Life experience. Like many who are neurodivergent, I’ve participated in multiple camps, therapies, social skill groups, and educational opportunities over the years. This allows me to pass on what I’ve found to be the most helpful.
Important
I cannot provide therapy without clinical supervision, because I am not a licensed clinical social worker (yet). All of my clients will be encouraged to seek professional mental health care if they indicate that their needs are beyond the scope of my current practice.
